We saw Wand taking a considerably more subdued approach a few weeks ago on 'Plum', the piano-lead title-track of their forthcoming new album. However, having just revealed the second taste of Plum, 'Bee Karma' is a return to massive riffs and dizzying vocals, which conjure memories of the infamous The Bends-era Radiohead. Described previously by main-man Cory Hanson as the "biggest pain in the ass to play live", it seems the quartet have finally managed to nail 'Bee Karma' and we're stoked that they did. The accompanying video was directed by Hanson himself, starring his brother Casey as an arguably terrifying-looking clown who drives around with him. Cory explains, "It’s an age old story. In the end, the good clown wins and gets to be free. He dances." Plum comes out on the 22nd of September via Drag City. -HLMX
